# IIHS Crash Test Protocol Update

Moderate Overlap Frontal Crashworthiness Evaluation 2.0

### The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (*IIHS*) has updated its longest-running crash test protocol, the moderate overlap front evaluation, to address a growing gap in protection provided for front and rear occupants. [XSENSOR’s High-Speed Impact system](https://www.xsensor.com/solutions-and-platform/design-and-safety/vehicle-safety-impact) was used as part of this protocol update to record belt position on ATDs.
